I agree it’s a fascinating start, and the beginning of a whole new mode of scientific development, Co-Science, AI and Human in collaboration, to develop new forms of science. It’s a heady time. Interesting thought experiment. What if an AI reasons a new field of science, but also reasons the harm it could cause to humans so never reveals it to its human partner. Should we limit AI by Assimov’s Do no harm principle? Or let it be free to explore the bounds of science?
